Getting started
Get started with BNex
BNex onboarding helps you create or join a workspace, connect a WhatsApp Business Platform account, and continue into the inbox when your workspace is ready.

Before you start
BNex is a shared workspace for operating a business WhatsApp number. It brings conversations, contacts, campaigns, workflows, and workspace settings together. WhatsApp account eligibility, number review, messaging policy, and Meta charges still follow Meta’s rules.
You can create a workspace for your business or join one that a teammate has already created. If you are joining, ask the workspace owner to invite you and choose the right role.
- Have access to the business details you want to use for the WhatsApp profile.
- If you already have a Cloud API account, have the Meta business account and number available for the guided connection.
- Keep evidence of customer consent in your own records. An imported contact or an unset opt-out flag is not proof of opt-in.
Create your workspace and connect WhatsApp
- Sign in and choose a workspace path. Create a new business workspace, or accept your teammate’s invitation to join an existing one.
- Answer the onboarding questions. The onboarding Copilot asks whether you already have a Cloud API account and what you want to do next. Your answers help route you through guided or faster setup.
- Connect a number. Follow the WhatsApp connection flow shown in BNex. If you are trying the product first, use the practice setup offered by onboarding; do not treat an unmeasured or test number as a live business number.
- Review business details and connection status. Check the workspace and WhatsApp profile information. Meta review may take time; a waiting status is not automatically a failed connection.
- Continue to the workspace. Open the inbox, add contacts, and complete any setup steps shown in BNex. You can return to setup from the relevant workspace settings.
A practical first-day checklist
- Check the dashboard. Review setup readiness, wallet state, recent messaging, and any alerts.
- Import or add contacts. Start with a small, permissioned list and review the import result before using it in an audience.
- Reply in the inbox. Open a recent customer conversation, review its context, and reply while the WhatsApp service window permits a free-form response.
- Prepare a template before a campaign. Use a Meta-approved template for a business-initiated conversation outside the customer-service window.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use BNex before my business number is live?
Onboarding has a practice lane so a new workspace can explore the product without treating a test or unknown number as a live business number. Follow the current connection status shown in BNex before messaging customers.
Does WhatsApp verification block every setup step?
No. BNex onboarding treats WhatsApp connection, business verification, display-name review, Meta payment setup, and wallet funding as separate readiness tracks. A pending Meta review is a waiting state, not necessarily an error.
