Manage contacts and audiences

BNex Contacts stores workspace customer records, validates phone numbers, and organizes people into groups and segments for inbox context, campaigns, and workflows.

Add or maintain a contact

Add an individual record when you need to correct a customer’s details or start with a small list. Keep phone numbers in a complete international format so BNex can normalize them consistently.

Use tags and groups to describe useful audience properties. Review your contact data periodically so that outdated numbers, opt-outs, and blocked contacts are not treated as sendable.

Import a contact list

  1. Choose a supported file. BNex supports CSV, Excel, and vCard contact imports.
  2. Upload and inspect the detected fields. BNex attempts to recognize column headers and values, including columns that appear to contain phone numbers. Review the field mapping rather than assuming every column was identified correctly.
  3. Review the preview and any plan limit. The preview reports counts and sample validation issues. If your plan has a contact limit, BNex shows how many records can fit before you commit.
  4. Confirm the import. Confirm only after checking the mapping and preview. Duplicate phone records in a file are collapsed during commit; matching existing workspace contacts may be updated.
  5. Review the result screen. Check the server-reported totals for added, updated, skipped, invalid, duplicate, and plan-limit-skipped records. Correct rejected rows in your source file and import them again if appropriate.

Frequently asked questions

Which contact import formats does BNex support?

The documented import formats are CSV, Excel, and vCard. BNex previews field detection and validation before committing an import.

Does “not opted out” mean a contact gave consent?

No. An unset opt-out flag is not proof of affirmative WhatsApp opt-in. Keep your own verifiable consent evidence and do not send to people who opted out or are blocked.
