WhatsApp message templates for dairy and milk delivery businesses

Dairy and milk delivery businesses need six templates: four utility messages for daily delivery confirmation, a skip or pause request, a payment reminder and a missed-delivery replacement, one marketing template for a new product, and one authentication template for the customer app.

A daily route lives on small, predictable messages: it was delivered, skip tomorrow, your bill is due. Handled by phone these become a wall of missed calls before sunrise. WhatsApp makes the round repeatable and lets customers pause a bottle in seconds.

Delivery confirmation

Utility

Send it when: Send after the morning drop is completed.

Hi {{1}}, {{2}} was delivered to your door at {{3}} today. Reply here for any change to tomorrow's order.

Skip or pause request

Utility

Send it when: Send to confirm a customer's pause for a chosen period.

Got it, {{1}}. Your deliveries are paused from {{2}} to {{3}}, and your bill will be adjusted for those days.

Payment reminder

Utility

Send it when: Send when a monthly or weekly bill is due.

Hi {{1}}, your bill of {{2}} for this period is due on {{3}}. Reply here if you would like the payment details resent.

Missed delivery

Utility

Send it when: Send when a delivery could not be completed.

Hi {{1}}, we could not deliver today. Reply with a preferred time and we will send {{2}} with the next round.

New product launch

Marketing

Send it when: Send to opted-in customers when a new dairy product is added.

{{1}}, we have just added {{2}} to our range. Add it to your next delivery with one reply. Reply STOP to opt out.

App login code

Authentication

Send it when: Send when a customer signs in to the delivery app.

{{1}} is the code to sign in to your {{2}} account. It expires in 10 minutes and we will never ask you for it.

How the category changes what you pay

  • Every template is submitted under one category, and Meta assigns the final one in review. A utility template that reads like a promotion can be reclassified as marketing, which changes both the rate and the opt-in requirement.
  • Since 1 October 2026, service messages are charged per delivered message after the first 1,000 free service messages per business phone number per month. The allowance does not roll over and there are no volume tiers.
  • Inbound messages are free, and a customer-initiated message opens the 24-hour customer service window. Anything you start outside that window needs an approved template.
